What can I expect from this experience?
This experience combines breathtaking images with exclusive scenes from the Emmy-nominated Apple TV series Prehistoric Planet. Let yourself be transported through prehistoric jungles, deserts, canyons, and oceans, accompanied by the captivating music of Hans Zimmer. An immersive, poetic, and educational adventure.
Does the experience take place indoors or outdoors?
It takes place at Phoenix des Lumières, an indoor venue.
Where is Phoenix des Lumières located?
The exhibition is located at Phoenix des Lumières, Phoenixplatz 4, 44263 Dortmund.
Is parking available?
There are several public and third-party operated parking options around Phoenix West. The parking spaces on Konrad-Zuse-Straße and the parking garage on Phoenixplatz do not belong to Phoenix des Lumières but can be used by our guests for a fee. For free parking, we recommend using the public parking areas on the surrounding streets.
How long does the experience last?
A visit lasts approximately 50 minutes.
Buying Tickets
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased at https://www.phoenix-lumieres.com/de/tickets, through the Fever app (available in the Apple App Store or on Google Play), or on the Fever website. Tickets are also available on site. However, we recommend booking your tickets in advance to secure a time slot and avoid unnecessary waiting times.
What payment methods can I use to buy my tickets online?
You can pay by credit card, Apple Pay, PayPal, or Google Pay.
The date I want is sold out. Can I buy tickets on site?
Online ticket sales take priority. You can purchase tickets on site, subject to availability.
How do I know if my order was successful?
Once payment has been completed, you will receive an email confirming your purchase. If you have not received an email, please contact us at hello@feverup.com.
Do I have to print my ticket?
No, you can present your ticket on your smartphone.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can.
I can't find my ticket. What can I do?
You can find your ticket in the Fever app under "Tickets." If you haven't installed the app yet, you'll find the ticket in your confirmation email. If you still can't find it, please contact us at hello@feverup.com.
Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy?
Depending on availability, changes to the date and/or time are permitted up to 24 hours before your scheduled time slot. Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.
I can't make my reserved time slot. Can I come earlier or later?
It is possible to arrive up to 30 minutes before or after your reserved time slot. If you arrive outside of this window, entry will not be permitted.
I can't log in with my t-online.de email address. What can I do?
We are currently experiencing issues across Germany with t-online.de email addresses, as users are not receiving login codes or confirmation emails. Please log in using a different email address or domain, or use another account such as Facebook or Apple.
Ticket Types
Do you offer journalist passes?
Holders of a press card are entitled to free admission, subject to verification by our press office. Press contact: presse-phoenix-lumieres@agentur05.de
Who is eligible for the family rate?
The family rate applies to up to 2 adults and 2 young people (aged 5–17).
Is there a discount for visitors aged 65+ and accompanying persons?
There is a reduced rate for visitors aged 65 and over. However, there is no special rate for accompanying persons, so please select the adult rate. Visitors with disabilities and a "B" or "H" code on their ID are entitled to bring one accompanying person free of charge.
I would like to visit Phoenix des Lumières as a group. How can I make a reservation?
If you are visiting with a group of 15 or more people, please book via the link provided or send a request to gruppen@phoenix-lumieres.com.
Access to the Event
Is there an age requirement?
Due to sound and light effects, we advise against visiting with children under 2 years old. Children under 5 years old are admitted free of charge.
Is seating available in the exhibition areas?
Yes, seating is available in the exhibition areas of Phoenix des Lumières.
Are there accessible toilets?
Yes, toilets are available at the venue.
Is the venue accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Phoenix des Lumières is accessible for people with reduced mobility, except for the stands in the main hall, which does not affect the overall experience. The venue is wheelchair-accessible, and our staff will be happy to assist you if needed.
Do you offer carer tickets?
Yes, if the visitor presents a valid disability ID with a "B" or "H" marking, one carer is admitted free of charge at the ticket counter.
Are the exhibitions suitable for people with epilepsy and/or vertigo?
Due to the light effects, the exhibition may pose risks for people suffering from epilepsy or vertigo.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Due to the sound and light effects, the event is not suitable for animals. However, assistance dogs are allowed with valid proof, though we strongly advise against attending with them for their comfort and safety.
Can I bring a suitcase to Phoenix des Lumières?
Lockers are available for medium-sized bags. Suitcases are not permitted.
Can I bring a stroller?
For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed in the exhibition hall. We recommend bringing a baby carrier instead. A limited number of strollers can be stored in the locker area.
Is there a coat check?
You can store coats, backpacks, or other items free of charge in our lockers. Coins for the lockers are provided by our reception team.
Is there a Lost & Found?
Yes, Lost & Found is managed by our friendly staff and security team.
Can I take photos and videos of the exhibition?
Yes, but please be considerate of other visitors. The use of flash, video lighting, tripods, and professional equipment is not permitted. Long or full recordings of the show and 360° videos are also not allowed.
Is there a shop?
Yes, there is a shop where you can purchase souvenirs.
Is there a bistro or restaurant?
Yes, there is a bistro offering a variety of hot and cold drinks and food.
What is prohibited during the experience? Can I smoke or vape?
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, except on the terrace next to the bistro. Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited. Bringing your own food is not allowed.
